Expanding Career Awareness with Immersive Media
At the third annual Ready, STEM, Go! event, Matthew Chaussee of CareerViewXR delivered a compelling session about how immersive media is reshaping career awareness and exploration for students.
We are seeking amazing education and industry partnerships to build into the CareerViewXR library!
If you are a US organization that supports PK-12 students and have a great employer or industry partnership you want to showcase across the country, we want to hear from you.
CareerViewXR is seeking partnerships with school leaders help identify new career exploration video-based experiences that will enhance our growing library of field trip and job shadow content. Ideal applicants include schools, organizations, and educational programs who have solid partnerships with their area employers and wish to strengthen those ties through the creation of immersive career exploration field trips or job shadows. The experiences created will not only benefit your students, but will also help educate and inform our growing nationwide audience. In addition to creating experiences aligned with your employer partnerships, grant awardees will also receive access to all experiences on the CareerViewXR platform for one year, free of charge!

Estimated time to complete application is 60-90 minutes and should be completed by a school, education association, or other entity who works with PK-12 students. CareerViewXR is an immersive career exploration platform that brings the job site to the classroom through 360-degree web-based tours and companion virtual reality videos. Students and adult job seekers alike can explore engaging field trips and job shadows highlighting in-demand industries like skilled trades, healthcare, energy, and more. Best of all – VR headsets are completely optional; the content is accessible on devices you already own – including laptops, cell phones, and tablets.
CareerviewXR helps students address the timeless question that has plagued youths for ages – “What are you going to do when you grow up?”. Over the course of a class period, learners can explore a variety of experiences that ultimately help them make more informed career decisions. Forget permission slips – with CareerViewXR, potential time, safety, and financial constraints of getting youths into a variety of unique work environments are bypassed entirely. Applications will be scored based on the following:
- Lead applicant must be an entity that directly or indirectly serves Pre-K-12th grade students in the US in order to be eligible.
- Individual submitting the application must be affiliated with the organization and has authority to submit this application on behalf of the organization.

After receiving applications from over 13 different states, career literacy platform CareerViewXR is officially announcing the recipients of their 2025 Production Grant program.
