Expanding Career Awareness with Immersive Media
At the third annual Ready, STEM, Go! event, Matthew Chaussee of CareerViewXR delivered a compelling session about how immersive media is reshaping career awareness and exploration for students.
We're seeking more remarkable education and industry partnerships to expand the CareerViewXR library!
If you’re a U.S.-based organization supporting PK-12 students or adults and have outstanding employers or industry partners to share with the world, we’d love to hear from you.
CareerViewXR is seeking partnerships with education leaders and innovators to help identify new career exploration video-based experiences that will enhance our growing library of field trip content. Ideal applicants include schools, organizations, associations, and educational programs who have solid partnerships with their area employers and wish to strengthen those ties through the creation of immersive career exploration field trips. Up to two (2) top awardees will get to suggest one (1) CareerViewXR field trip to be created with an interested local organization. The experiences created will not only benefit your students, but will also help educate and inform our growing nationwide audience. In addition to creating experiences aligned with your employer partnerships, grant awardees will also receive access to all field trips on the CareerViewXR platform for one year, at no cost!
Learn more about CareerViewXR and try example experiences here. If unfamiliar with the platform, we highly encourage you to explore a few of our free field trips prior to starting your application.

Estimated time to complete application is 60-90 minutes and should be completed by a school, education association, or other entity who works with PK-12 students or adults. Applications must be submitted by March 15, 2025. For more information including application scoring criteria and applicant eligibility, see the program terms and conditions below.
In addition to our Production Grant, CareerViewXR is also offering a 1-1 matching grant opportunity for US schools and educational organizations to make career exploration more accessible. Through this initiative, eligible groups can apply for a 1-to-1 matching grant for a one-year subscription to CareerViewXR. This program is designed to assist institutions facing financial constraints, allowing them to introduce cutting-edge virtual reality experiences for career exploration at a significantly reduced cost. View the application form here. The application period for this opportunity will remain open for the duration of 2025 and applications will be reviewed on a quarterly basis.
CareerViewXR is an immersive career exploration platform that brings field trips to the classroom through 360-degree web-based tours and companion virtual reality videos. No simulations here – these experiences feature real professionals, doing real work, in real work environments. Students and adult job seekers alike can explore engaging tours highlighting in-demand industries like skilled trades, healthcare, energy, and more. Best of all – VR headsets are completely optional; the content is accessible on devices you already own – including laptops, cell phones, and tablets.
Applications will be scored based on the following:
- Lead applicant must be an entity that directly or indirectly serves Pre-K-12th grade students or adults in the US in order to be eligible.
- Individual submitting the application must be affiliated with the organization and has authority to submit this application on behalf of the organization.
